This was a simple prosthetic effect made from liquid latex. I ended up casting from latex for its good tensile strength and ease of application. Another bonus is that it's cheap.Each of the prosthetic pieces were hollow, allowing the void to be filled with cotton wool. The purpose in this is so the cotton can be soaked with blood. Once the meat hook is put in place it compresses the cotton wool simulating bleeding.
